This version wears it in Birkibuc® — Birkenstock's proprietary synthetic material that has been lightly brushed to replicate the soft, matte appearance of genuine nubuck leather. Birkibuc® is skin-friendly, tear-resistant, and built to hold up over time — without any of the maintenance that genuine nubuck requires. The suede footbed lining keeps things soft and comfortable where your foot meets the sandal, while a natural leather insole adds lasting structure beneath.
